Connor Lamb

I had the blessing of getting to know Connor in Jamaica, and I left feeling so inspired by his love for people and his intimate relationship with the Father. He sees life very honestly and clearly, and it was such a breath of fresh air at a time where I didn’t even know I’d need to hear it. Connor leaves a profound impact on the people he encounters, and our entire Jamaica team would have been radically different if his encouraging and hilarious presence was not there to fill us with joy.

One thing the Lord has been teaching me is to find him in the silence. For so long I thought that through all of the busyness of just life I had to try and hear his voice, but it is really in the silence of my life where I find him. Whether it’s intentional time for me to listen to him, or a car ride where I’m not listening to music, the Lord is teaching me to reach out to him. It is incredible how distracted I can get when I am trying to hear from the Lord in the busyness of my life. In my intentional and unintentional silent moments, I need to make sure that my ears and my heart are open and ready to receive whatever he has to give me. And even when life is silent, I remind myself that God is not absent. He is still working.
