Chad makes every interaction a fun one. He is honest in the most refreshing way. He is fun and always down for a drive to McDonalds in his truck (seriously, Chad and his truck have been there for me at some very needed times in my life.) Chad is fun but he’s also a great listener, a kind friend, and a wise follower of Christ- and his heart to serve is beautiful.
Change. In the past couple of weeks, a lot of barriers have been put up in my life. Opportunities I thought the Lord had planned for me have been interrupted. Spending years devoting your life to something the Lord has called you to do- then a single response turns you down. You create doubts about yourself and the thoughts of negativity enter your mind. Trusting in the Lord that change is good can be difficult at times. In His word, Isaiah 43:19, the prophet writes, ‘Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.’ As the Lord closes doors, He opens new ones. Believing that His plan is greater, and His path is rocky but pure, has been a challenge for me recently. Waking up and trusting that the Lord will lead me in His direction is a prayer that is continuous with my life. In Andrew Ripp’s song, You Will Find Me, he talks about when we are at our darkest, we will find the Lord. My advice would be to trust in the Lord that change is good. It may not be planned to you, but it is in His plan.
