This is Drew Henriksen. I have the privilege of taking a class about the New Testament with Drew, and from day one, hearing the confidence and passion with which he spoke about Jesus inspired me. Drew is unashamed of his faith, and he is wise and firm in his pursuit of the Lord. He is always asking questions and challenging his faith for the sake of growth, and is so open to what the Lord has to say.
I often find that when my heart gets uncomfortable, whether around people or by myself, those are the times I need to listen the most intently. The times that I am anxious are the times I need to be paying attention. Why? Because those are the places that I need growth the most. If I can encourage you in anything, it’s that when those times get uneasy – when you don’t want to be around your family anymore, when you feel scared not being around people, or whatever that is for you – ask yourself why? Look deeper there. I can assure you that God wants to teach you something there, you just have to hang in long enough to see it.
