This is Evan Correa. Evan has always blown me away with her kindness. She never ceases to make me feel welcomed and included, her presence instantly makes me more joyful, and it so clear how she seeks to understand people on a deep level. Evan is loyal and a fighter for her people.
I have been thinking a lot about God’s promises lately. The Lord is, by nature, not just a promise MAKER, but a promise KEEPER. Just like Abraham before us, God promised to bless His people. Galatians 4:7 says, ‘So now you are not a slave; you are God’s child, and God will give you the blessing He promised, because you are His child.’ This doesn’t mean He has promised an earthly life of ease, but an eternal life of joy in Him. This verse is His promise to love us unconditionally, as a father loves his child. It is also a promise of the hope that is to come. Even in earthly struggles, He will be with us, holding our hand as we walk towards eternity together. This is a beautiful reminder in times of doubt, when we don’t understand why He’d allow certain situations or circumstances to come about. He never said there wouldn’t be storms, but He did promise to be right there with us on the boat.
