Carolyn McClain

Carolyn has always been one of those people I have been waiting for the opportunity to get to know better because I have seen the way she lives and loves from afar, and it has truly inspired me! She is bold in her pursuit of the Lord, she is so willing to share the ways He is working in her life, and watching her care for and lift up those she is surrounded by is a true honor!

I remain confident in this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.’ (Psalm 27)
God has been teaching me how to be confident in His character. In this time, where it feels like we have more loss than goodness in our lives, we can trust in the way that God redeems. I have seen it in my own life and I am sure you have seen it in yours. Where disappointment hits, I am fully convinced that God turns it for good each and every time.  We can trust CONFIDENTLY in that because His fullness is so much better!
With that, I think it’s important that we know that God really cares about the ways we feel disappointed when things don’t go as we wanted. In this time I have been falling back in love with His goodness. Because although sometimes these disappointments are a desire for earthly things, He never gets frustrated with us for mourning what we thought would be. He cares. And he knows you are worth the time it takes to be okay.
So to each person that is disappointed in this season by the loss of time or by things they weren’t able to do- Pray that you will be confident in his power to redeem and restore. That is what we can hope in during this time. And in the present we can trust in his character, even when we don’t know what he is doing yet. Sometimes our plans must fall in order to get to where we are supposed to be.
