Peter is someone you can trust within moments of meeting him. He is such a fun presence to be around and his compassion speaks volumes to the way he wants to truly know those around him. His motivation is an inspiration to us all; the Lord is doing such awesome things in his life and it is such a blessing to have a front-row seat to it all!
Over the past couple weeks here, sitting in quarantine, God has taught me so much about patience and putting all my hope in Him! I’ve really related to Romans 12:12 lately that says to ‘rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.’ I’m definitely the kind of person that loves to be in control of situations. I always like to know when something is going to happen or if it’s going to happen at all. I always hate when things are out of my control like delayed or cancelled flights and stuff like that. But now I feel like God has really spoken to me lately and showed me how I have to put my faith in Him and trust that He will deliver in this time where NOTHING is in my control.
Another lesson I feel like the Lord has taught me is one of appreciation for the people and things I might easily take for granted normally in everyday life. Being back at home in quarantine has given me so much quality time with my family and really made me appreciate having them as well as a roof over my head and food on my table. I also really appreciate my good health in a time where that seems so uncertain. As much as I hate this pandemic and not being able to return to my normal life, I also appreciate all the Lord is doing right now in people’s lives and the lessons He’s taught me specifically in patience and appreciation for what I have!
