This is Jacey Conti.
I’d definitely describe Jacey as a go-to. She is someone you know you can trust. I get to share a home with her next year, and there is no way we would have gotten everything worked out smoothly if it we weren’t able to lean on her leadership and determination to get it all planned out. This woman is strong, kind, passionate in her faith, and wise.
Rejoice in the Lord always; and again I say, rejoice.’ Right now I feel as if the Lord is showing me what it looks like to rejoice in His presence regardless of what my circumstances look like – regardless of the state of my or my family’s and friends’ health. Regardless of if i’m worshiping Him in a room of 200 people or alone in my car. Regardless of if my plans are following my desires or not. Regardless of if the future seems a little blurrier than it used to. Regardless of if His voice is loud or quiet. It can be easy to show appreciation to the Lord and His workings when things are seemingly good and fit into our lives the way we want them to. Now we are all being faced with this weird time where our plans have been interrupted and everyone around us is saying just how bad things are and how worried we should be. As He knows this is what we are being faced with, He also has just handed us an empty agenda to fill with both rejoicing and resting in Him. And in that, He is revealing His goodness in the midst of the mess that has been created. This empty agenda has allowed me to understand His promise of guiding us through the storm. Even though we have to create a new normal, we will be able to see a whole lot of peace and joy with Him at the center! Yeah, it’s easier to thank God for his workings when life is good. But, the simple truth is He is always working and will use our circumstances, good or bad, for our betterment and for His glory.
