Sydney is the kind of person you know you can trust within .2 seconds of meeting. I’d heard from so many people that I needed to be friends with Sydney, and let me say I’m so glad I got that chance. Sydney is raw, authentic, and real. She tells it like it is, which is so rare and so needed. I never feel like I have to be anyone other than myself with Sydney. She makes others feel seen and known and loved on a deep level that points to Jesus in all things. Love you sis!
Don’t forget God’s promise of newness for us every day. 2 Corinthians 4:16 ‘Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.’ The darkest times in my life have been the ones where I have become blind to everything but my circumstances and have convinced myself that God has somehow stopped moving. The truth is that our God is always moving and is always working up something new in us. If you feel like you are in a stagnant season or feel that the Lord isn’t moving, don’t be afraid to get real with yourself and God. Reflect on why you feel like that and ask the Lord how you can best connect to him in the season you are in. Remember that God loves you no matter your mindset, opinion of him, or circumstance.
