Autumn Sturhahn

Autumn is pretty much THE reason I am still in my sorority, so that is pretty special. She wanted to get to know me at a time when I felt so alone, and her impact on my life has stayed with me ever since. Autumn gives the best advice, she has the best laugh, and she is someone I always know I can turn to when I need to unpack something. Autumn loves her people so well: she is a warrior, she is a lover, and she is passionately seeking Jesus in a time when it is so hard to! You inspire me every day, my woman. You are so valued.

All year, the Lord has been teaching me the importance of now. Especially in the midst of all of this, God has shown me that my plans do not always pan out, but His are so much greater than anything I can imagine. I’ve been seeing how important it is to make the most of every single day, every conversation, every interaction. Don’t wait for tomorrow because you never know when things will take a turn. God has placed each of us exactly where we are for a reason. I have been searching for peace in the midst of all of this uncertainty and am starting to find it in knowing that He won’t call us where He won’t lead us. He has called us to right here, right now to use us for a purpose so much greater than our own. I have found that seeking His Kingdom, His plan for my life, above all else has allowed me to get rid of the anxiety and worry that is brought on by the unknowns and exchange that for peace and growth by praying harder than ever for my plan for my life to align with His. No matter what plans I have made for myself that may have crumbled, I know that God has placed me here and now to grow in faith, not fear.
