Lindsey is such a blessing! She has been a constant in my life for a while now, and someone I am beyond overjoyed to see the work God is doing in her. Lindsey makes others feel so seen and known, and the first time we hung out I felt so comfortable to share parts of my heart with her- that welcoming presence she carries is so special and hard to find!
Every feeling that we have in this time is valid. These are scary times, and the future has never been so uncertain. However, one thing these circumstances has given us is an abundance of time. What we do with that time is up to us, but personally, I always make excuses for not leaning into scripture in my life. I’ll always say I’m too busy with friends, family, school, literally anything! But now we suddenly have an abundance of time. The enemy has decided to work his “power” with this pandemic, and I can’t imagine a better way to combat that “power” than with God’s AUTHORITY! Find comfort in His word, and lean into the truth that God has to offer in these trying times instead of giving into the fear that the enemy is trying to make us succumb to. We have the Holy Spirit living in each and every one of us, and we, too, have a piece of God’s authority to be way makers in this world. To be in control of our own futures, our own feelings, and our own attitudes towards what is to come; we have a decision to make as to who we will let be in control of all these things. It will always be easy to believe the lies from the enemy over the truth from our God, but what we need to ask is what we need in this season: fear and shame from a being that makes it his life’s mission for us to live in pain, or comfort and peace from the One who loves us more than we could ever begin to imagine?
