According to one of our good friends, Savannah and I are the same person. And honestly, that is terrifying. Savannah is fiercely motivated, and she also fiercely loves. She makes sure her people are well taken care of. She is so joyful, and the times I randomly run into her are always a pleasure. Her understanding of who God is in her life is such an insight to the way we are all called to live!
One of my favorite quotes by Bob Goff is, “Embrace uncertainty. Some of the most beautiful chapters in our lives wont have a title until much later.” This quote has meant so much to me this year. From my perspective, this means pushing myself out of my comfort zone — saying yes to the people and experiences around you. This year I’ve had a lot of unexpected curveballs thrown my way. This quote has reminded me to look to God for peace and guidance when I’m overwhelmed by anxiety and feel like I have no control. The cool thing I’ve seen so many instances when I’ve leaned on God and he has followed through in amazing ways I never could have anticipated. He’s put people in my life I never saw coming and now don’t know how I lived without them. Live your life with an open hand, fully ready for God to give and take away.
