Mason Scott

This is Mason Scott.
I am thankful on the regular that I met Mason Scott. He is one of my favorite people to see around campus and I always get way too excited to run up and say hi. Mason is so kind to everyone he encounters, and his commitment to pursuing the Lord is beautiful and inspiring! He is also so fun, and some of my best freshman year memories were made alongside his fun-spirited self!

Scripture is so important. Meditate on it and memorize it because we live in a fallen world, and you will go through circumstances that will test your faith in God. Sometimes all that you will have to counter the temptations of this world is the Bible. Jesus was tempted by the devil in the desert for 40 days and every time the devil tempted him he countered with scripture. What I always say is if Jesus does it then it is probably a good idea for me to do it. Also, the words are alive. This means you could have read through a chapter 100 times, but on the 101st time God speaks to you in a different way you have never experienced before. Finally, it isn’t something that you read to check it off of a list because it can easily become like that. The words are powerful and when you read them with purpose God will continue to show you characteristics of Him and spiritually fill you so that you can pour out into others.
