Jackson Mulkey

This is Jackson Mulkey.
Jackson was one of the first people I met at UGA, and he remains a consistent presence in my life. Jackson is compassionate and intentional; he is someone whose words and ideas I value greatly. His words deserve to be recognized more and given the weight they deserve, because they are powerful!

1. Don’t let fear of failure stop you from doing what you want to do. Failure is what helps us grow and moves us forward. I don’t think we can really learn without failing. Maybe you’ve had a creative project you wanted to do for the longest time but are afraid it won’t be good enough. Maybe you really want to ask out that guy/girl you really like but are too scared. Don’t let fear stop you! Extenuating circumstances are always important to consider, but just being afraid isn’t a good enough reason to give up. Once I moved past that roadblock, I’ve been able to do so many cool things that I’d never have done two years ago. Step out of your comfort zone. You won’t regret it.
2. Stop worrying so much what about other people think! People aren’t watching you and judging you the way that you probably think they are. Your identity is in Christ, and he is head over heels in love with you!
