This is Annie Cowart.
Annie is a freshman who just recently left the United States to serve on a YWAM DTS for 6 months before coming to UGA in the fall. I have only known Annie for a few months and yet I love her with my entire heart. She is a living example of dying to herself on the daily to pick up her cross and follow Jesus. She is loving, kind, spirited, and an extremely powerful voice for the kingdom.
I would say the most important lesson I’ve learned in my relatively short life is that while God’s grace is whole and all-encompassing, repentance goes hand in hand with coming clean to people you’ve hurt. It’s really hard (if not impossible) to feel at peace with God if you’re not at peace with the people most important to you. And if your repentance is real and heartfelt, it doesn’t matter if they forgive you or not. If they do, you’re shown a reflection of God’s grace. If it takes them a while to come around, you further understand how deeply your Father loves you.
Matthew 5:23-24 “Therefore if you are presenting your offering at the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your offering and go; first be reconciled to your brother, and then come and present your offering.
